Photography & Video Use

In line with Queensland and Australian privacy requirements, consent is required for the use of images or videos where a person is reasonably identifiable.

At Intuitive Mummas, photos and short videos may be taken during sessions in a group setting for use across our website, social media, marketing, training and business development materials.

Images may also be captured to provide participants with personal or memorable images of moments shared with their baby during sessions.

Images and videos may include:

• Group photos

• Babies and mothers

• Images taken from a distance

• Images where faces are visible or not visible

• Images of individuals who are or are not reasonably identifiable

Sessions take place in a shared group environment. While care is taken when capturing and selecting images, it may not always be possible to avoid incidental or background appearances in group photos or video footage.

If a participant does not consent to images being used, Intuitive Mummas will take reasonable steps to ensure that any image in which they or their baby appear is edited (for example, blurred or covered with a sticker) before being published.

If a participant has not provided consent and identifies an image or video in which they are reasonably identifiable that has been published, they may contact Intuitive Mummas in writing. Reasonable steps will be taken to remove the image or video where practicable.

Images that do not meet the definition of “identifiable” will not be removed.

If a participant changes their consent, they may notify Intuitive Mummas in writing. Reasonable steps will be taken to review future use of images and to ensure that images are not used in future content.

Due to the nature of compiled content (such as reels or promotional videos), it may not always be reasonable or possible to remove previously published material if consent was given. In these circumstances, the image or video will not be used in future content.

Intuitive Mummas does not attach names or personal information to images or videos without express consent.

Images and videos may be securely stored and reused for future promotional, marketing or training purposes.

What does “identifiable” mean?

For the purposes of photography and video use, identifiable means that a person can be reasonably recognised from an image or video, either on its own or when combined with other information.

A person may be considered identifiable if:

  • Their face is visible

  • Distinctive features are visible (such as tattoos or birthmarks)

  • Clothing, name, or surrounding context makes them recognisable

  • Their voice is recorded

  • The image or video is close-up or clearly focused on them

A person is generally not considered identifiable if:

  • Their face is not visible

  • They are photographed from behind

  • They appear only in the background

  • The image is taken from a distance

  • Their face is blurred or covered

  • No name or personal information is attached
